
David Green is co-founder and principal of MountainSeed Advisors where he directs the research and advisory activities of the firm. David’s primary responsibilities include developing the firm’s financial models and creating the methodologies to analyze CRE loans, RMBS, CMBS, structured finance products. Additionally, David advises on risk management, and oversees all portfolio reviews. David directs MountainSeed Advisors daily operations and manages the firm’s analysts on all projects. Throughout the entire MountainSeed Advisors project schedule David is hands on with the client to understand their unique needs, and provide the highest possible level of service.
Prior to founding MountainSeed Advisors, David was a co-founder of Trinity Development Group, a real estate investment firm based in Tampa, and Atlanta. At Trinity David managed all financial underwriting for Trinity Development’s active and prospective investments, maintained cash flows, and worked with various lenders to negotiate transactions. David has managed over $200 million of Trinity’s principal’s investments, and handled all aspects of the project level financials that has made Trinity Development a successful, and well respected owner/operator of Real assets throughout the Southeast.
David gained work experience through his time at Ernst & Young where he specialized in audit and compliance for large regional lenders. He furthered that experience at the boutique firm Barfield, Murphy PC.
David is Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a graduate of Auburn University, and holds a Masters in Accountancy from the Auburn Business School.

Carl Streck is co-founder of MountainSeed Advisors and manages new and existing client relationships while directing research and analysis of real estate market conditions. Through years in the development and consulting industries, Carl has become an expert in the evaluation of all types of real estate collateral, as well as in the development of creative solutions for problem properties. Carl has been the catalyst for MountainSeed's alliances with some of the world’s leading institutional investment management firms, leading money center banks, and top 10 hedge funds. The firm's many ongoing relationships are testimony to his commitment to client success.
Prior to founding MountainSeed, Carl was already working with regional lenders, national lenders, and the FDIC to identify and acquire commercial real estate debt. Many of these acquisitions were through MountainSeed's sister company, Trinity Development Group. Trinity Development Group is a real estate investment firm that invests in distressed debt, real estate, and special situations. Carl has acquired and developed thousands of single family lots, multifamily rental units, retail centers, and other assets throughout the southeastern United States. His development projects have ranged from 150 units to 1000+ units.
Carl has worked as an advisor to many of the World's leading investments firms and has been recognized throughout the investment community as a real estate expert. He has led numerous round table groups and conferences for leading money management firms, including Angelo, Gordon & Co., Citi Group, Merrill Lynch, Goldman Sachs, SAC Capital, Blackrock and others.
Carl is also actively involved in many business and community organizations, including YoungLife, Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce and the National Association of Home Builders. He serves on the executive team for the real estate network of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO).
Carl lives in Atlanta with his wife and two children.
J.M. Schapiro is a partner in MountainSeed Advisors as well as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Continental Realty Corporation.
Continental Realty Corporation was started in 1960 and has grown into one of the most respected real estate companies in the Mid-Atlantic Region. Continental Realty Corporation has a portfolio of over 7,000 apartments and 3 million s.f. of office, retail, and industrial buildings throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region and Southwest Florida. CR South, a division of Continental Realty Corporation, is a real estate investment and development company that specializes in buying loans and REO in the Southeast. CR Restaurants, another division of Continental Realty Corporation, is a Burger King and Cosi franchisee with 30 units in Maryland and Pennsylvania.
J.M. graduated from Bucknell University in 1991 and received a Master’s Degree in Real Estate in 1995 from Johns Hopkins University. He served on the Board of Directors for Sinai Hospital of Baltimore for six years and is currently a member of the Northwest Hospital Center Board and the Board of Cristo Rey, a Jesuit charter school. In addition, he is actively involved with The Associated Jewish Charities where he serves on the Governance Committee. Through The Associated, he was just named the 2008 recipient of the Julius Rosenberg Award. Finally, he is the Membership Chair for the DC/Baltimore Young President’s Organization Chapter.
